sleepcamel.net : brad weikel

i'm sure it's pretty obvious at this point, but i guess i should formally announce that i've relaunched sleepcamel.net with a new look and a new backend. i haven't bothered to go through my old livejournal entries, nor have i moved any of my old content, but i really just wanted to get it back up so I could start blogging again. i'll probably do more migration later. or maybe not.

as you might notice from the blog entries, i started blogging in this space more than a month ago, but i kept it hidden because i hadn't done the visual design until this weekend. (oh, and i copied one blog entry from last fall on another site that i'd started).

about the new site
the site is built on top of drupal, my new favorite open source tool. it's really powerful, but also really easy to work with and very customizable. i'm using drupal at work, as well, and will probably be using it for the new gnovis site. i plan to use it on any side projects i work on, as well.

one of my goals, with all my sites from here on out, is to try to incorporate web 2.0 approaches and technologies. for the time being, unfortunately, that just means tagging my posts with a freetag folksonomy and using the tagadelic module to display those sexy tag clouds over on the left.
