Plug: New gnovis issue, and a new gnovis/drupal theme

Just a quick plug to promote the publication of a new issue at gnovis, where I am entering my second year as Managing Editor.

Ouch

Note to self. backup /sites directory before upgrading drupal.

Otherwise, your friends will laugh at you for having such an ugly website.

Highlights from Dries Buytaert's keynote address.

  • Overview of Drupal 6 - bigger community, better administration, easier theming, more secure, more scalability, easier to develop for, better localization. The State of Drupal is <strong>
  • However, Drupal is still in the early adoption phase, and a transition to the mainstream is essential (and very difficult). What must happen:
    1. Redesign drupal.org
    2. Drupal 7 killer release
    3. Broad, strategic changes

oh, by the way... Announcement: sleepcamel.net Relaunch!

i'm sure it's pretty obvious at this point, but i guess i should formally announce that i've relaunched sleepcamel.net with a new look and a new backend. i haven't bothered to go through my old livejournal entries, nor have i moved any of my old content, but i really just wanted to get it back up so I could start blogging again. i'll probably do more migration later. or maybe not.
